Our annual Atrax Morgue episode has arrived, and this time we take a look at “Black Slaughter.” A different type of release than covered on our previous Atrax episodes, here Marco Corbelli utilizes samples instead of vocals to convey the thoughts of a psychopathic mind. Included in “Black Slaughter” is an insert with notes on each track by Marco himself, and we read his words throughout. We are ready. Marco Corbelli forever.

MSBR & Blazen y Sharp – Mass for Dead Insects
We end the year with an all time favorite of Greh’s in the form of MSBR & Blazen y Sharp “Mass for Dead Insects” CD. Dark atmospheric noise spills into the room from a futuristic past. Greh discusses his relationship with this album and we go all in on this unique 90s noise collaboration.
Various Artists – Death Odors (with guest Stephen Petrus)
Stephen Petrus (Murderous Vision/Live Bait Recording Foundation) joins us to discuss the classic “Death Odors” compilation on Slaughter Productions. Petrus talks about the importance of compilations to his journey, in terms of both listening and releasing. This episode is coming out in tandem with a brand new comp that Stephen has curated entitled “Dies Natalis Invicti Solis” featuring Brighter Death Now, Deutsch Nepal, Contrastate and many more. The CD will be available for pre order on Friday December 4th.
Dead Body Love – Maximum Dose
The Pure series enters our ears again in the harshest way possible with Dead Body Love “Maximum Dose.” Mike attempts to turn it down, Tara scolds Mike and won’t let him, and Greh runs his girlfriend out of the room. These are all proper reactions to this slice of 90s Italian noise, courtesy of the most important series in noise.
Atrax Morgue – Woundfucker
We embark on a yearly Halloween tradition as we go deep on Atrax Morgue “Woundfucker,” recorded on Halloween of 1994. An album that has been with all of us for as long as we can remember, “Woundfucker” never fails to affect all of our souls. We relay some of Marco Corbelli’s thoughts via old interviews and dissect what we revere about Atrax Morgue.
Murder Corporation – New Crimes
We’re back in Pure-land and back in Italy for Murder Corporation’s “New Crimes” CD. Culled from an insanely limited 8 tape box set, the CD represents a perfectly distilled version of a staggering piece of work. Moreno Daldosso, the man behind Murder Corporation, was kind enough to answers some questions that we sent him, and we relay his answers throughout the episode. Open the vents and let the death wind in.
Atrax Morgue – Paranoia
It’s our Halloween episode and we thought there was no one more appropriate to cover than Atrax Morgue. We listen to and discuss his “Paranoia” CD on Old Europa Cafe. We cover death, obsession and the darkness that Marco Corbelli infused into every moment of his recordings. In lieu of recent listening, we talk about some of our favorite Italian Giallo movies, a genre that was highly influential for Atrax Morgue. Slip on some black gloves and sharpen your knife’s blade.
